"breadth comes from reading and talking and seeing, depth comes from
doing." —
paul graham.
-
as someone like me who grew up with internet, gave me the
privilege to broaden my knowledge. at a young age i was fortunate
enough to understand the importance of being a generalist. a broad
knowledge base gives the ability to solve a problem or navigate
something in the most creative and optimal way possible.
some things i believe
- people
-
humans are inherently social creatures, and our need for social
interaction is deeply rooted in our biology. choosing the right
environment plays a huge role in one's life, as it directly
defines our reality and us.
- be kind, humble, and be direct. life is short.
-
don't put time and efforts into mediocrity, think big, and have a
long term mindset.
- leverage
-
"leverage is the strategic use of tools, resources, or the efforts
of ours or others to multiply one's output without corresponding
increases in input." —
naval ravikant.
-
to date, i consistently seek opportunities in terms of leverage.
The ability to identify things that require relatively minimal
input yet yield significantly higher output is a valuable skill in
itself, especially considering we live in an age of
abundance of information. building leverage requires adopting a long-term mindset, luck
and wisdom.
- what motivates me?
-
humans have been evolving for 55 million years, with our brain
evolving from the brainstem, limbic system, cerebral cortex, to
the frontal cortex. unlike any other era, we currently live in the
era of technology. technology has the potential to significantly accelerate human
evolution.
-
there are things in the universe and in our world that are beyond
our comprehension, including the functioning of our brain such as
consciousness, emotions, brain disorders and ocean creatures. all
my work is a series of dots that I aim to eventually connect and
pursue out of curiosity.
-
i like working with exceptional people who challenge and expand my
worldviews.
"who am i? one name you might have for me is the world, or you might
call me the universe, or perhaps god, or perhaps the truth. i am all
and i am one, so of course this also means that i am you." — (hiromu
arakawa) the truth, fullmetal alchemist brotherhood
